Church World Service’s new publication, Peace in Action authored by Ms. Josephine Barbour and Mr. Nao Sok was officially launched last night in Phnom Penh Cambodia to an audience of Cambodia development, aid, and peace organizations. The launch was officially opened by Mr. OK Serei Sopheak.

The CWS staff from all the remote regions and former fighting zones were present to greet participants and answer questions on why our model works supported by training from CDRA, VBNK (CHART) and LCP, is a peace centered approach. ‘Building’ potential for stable peace in the country and supporting the decentralization model.

The book encourages development workers in all post-conflict countries to use such an approach that is authentic to indigenous issues and context. The book encourages us not to import models that do not honor our particular cultures and conflicts.
