Ms. Tith Chantha, 34, who live with a 3 year daughter and her soldier husband at Prasat village, located just in front of the Preah Vihear temple, has moved to the camp on the same day of the fighting, is living with her daughter in a the camp. Her husband visits her and her daughter 1-2 times a month as he is placed at the front line at the temple. Sometimes, she goes with her daughter to the border to visit her husband 2-3 days so that she can cook for her husband and his comrades.
Her house was completely burnt down by the DK of Thai soldiers on 3rd April and she was not able to take any property out of the house at all beside her daughter and her dressing clothes. She again and again thanks to CWS for the various kinds of assistance and high transparent and equitable distribution.
Chantha mentioned that “These assistances are very helpful to me and the rest of the IDP especially mosquito net, mat and plastic sheet. I can see the quality of those items is very good”. At that moment few people who are waiting for their name call said together that “Yes, all the items are good. Even the mat, mosquito net, plastic sheet and canned fish are very good in quality”.
Chantha and the surrounding few people also raised that the water filter is very good at the moment due to water in the camp is high lime contaminated water.
According to the discussion with 6 IDP and district and commune authority, rice and other food items are needed as most of the IDP people are living rely on assistance.
