CWS Provided Humanitarian Aid to Flood Victims in Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear Provinces

With donation from, WFP, ACT Alliance and ECHO through CWS, DanChurchAid/ Christian Aid and FinnChurchAid and in cooperation with Provincial Committee for Disaster Management, emergency assistance as food items and non-food items were provided to flood victims (priority to poor and vulnerable families). The distributions were taken place on 20 - 23 October 2011.

Preah Vihear, VBCD

 
  • Kampong Thom: 760 families who have been seriously affected receive 50 kg of rice each, and 337 families who were less seriously affected, received 25 kg of rice each. Additional to rice, they received 15 cans of canned fish, 1 bottle of cooking oil (1.8L), and 1 kg of iodized salt. In total there are 1,097 families in 38 villages, 9 communes, and 3 districts - Baray, Prasat Sambour and Santuk.

  • Preah Vihear: 363 families in 6 villages in Yeang commune, Choam Khsant district, received 15,000 Riels (instead of 15 cans of canned fish), 25 kg of rice, 1 bottle of cooking oil (2L) and 1kg of iodized salt each.

  • Banteay Meanchey: 400 families in 18 villages, 2 communes, Mongkol Borey district will receive 15,000 Riels (instead of 15 cans of canned fish), 25kg of rice, 1 bottle of cooking oil (2L) and 1kg of iodized salt.

  • Battambang: 177 families in 6 villages, 2 communes in Thma Koul district will receive 15,000 Riels (instead of 15 cans of canned fish), 25 kg of rice, 1 bottle of cooking oil (2L) and 1 kg of iodized salt each.
