On March 23, CWS Cambodia and CAWST conducted an orientation workshop on the WET Center Project at Phnom Penh Hotel presented by Dr. Mao Saray, Director of Department of Rural Water Supply, Ministry of Rural Development. Participants worked in water, sanitation and hygiene and came from government departments (Department of Rural Water Supply, MRD), INGOs, local NGOs and one private company.

On November 3rd 2011, Church World Service Cambodia was awarded the Certificate of Compliance from NGO Governance & Professional Practice (NGO GPP). The NGO GPP facilitates the Voluntary Certification System for NGOs in Cambodia, as a way to recognize NGOs that demonstrate standards of good practice.

CWS Cambodia implemented ECHO flood recovery project through DCA, particularly distribution of food and hygiene materials to 1,561 flood affected households in Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces. We developed permanent commune information sheets to post it at the commune boards in five target communes (Kouk Ballangk and Sambuor communes in Mongkol Borey district, Banteay Meanchey province and Tapung, Boeng Pring and Chrouy Sdau communes in Thma Koul district, Battambang province).
